Christmas Bells

Tuesday, October 23, 2007
Jingle Bells, Jinlge Bells,
Jingle All the Way !....”

This timeless jingle still takes me to the memories of my childhood on Christmas holidays. How I loved to hear the tinkling of the bells on the Christmas Tree. I loved playing around with the ornaments and hanging them up and decorating them.
Bells are integral part of the Christmas decorations. The origin of ringing bells can be traced back to the Pagan Winter celebrations when the people believed that the sound of the bells scared the demons. Nowadays, it is unthinkable to decorate the Christmas tree without the bells ; some even hang a large bell on the walls of their home or even give them as gifts as part of the Christmas Celebrations.

As we are discussing about Christmas Decorations what about the Christmas tree? Are you going to have a real Christmas tree this time or the usual artificial one? This year we are planning to decorate our home with a big real Christmas tree. Lots of information can be found about selection of trees, tree care and other information at Christmas Trees and More. And if you want to go for the artificial ones that stay fresh forever check out Tree Classics, then you can look at the number of online stores.

Wreaths in Christmas

Tuesday, October 16, 2007
Think of the Christmas decorations and it is incomplete without the wreaths. Whether the wreath hangs before the door or adorn the wall of the house, they add more vibrancy and the feeling of Christmas. Wreaths are said to be symbols of life and mirth against the forces of winter. According to the history of wreaths , in ancient Rome decorative wreaths were used to signify victory. It is believed by many that the custom of putting wreaths on the door came from the ancient Roman tradition.

Decorations for Christmas

Monday, October 15, 2007
For me, the best part of Christmas are the candles and lights with which we adorn our homes. I love to use perfumed candles to lit up the rooms and the icicle lights to give a look of the winter wonderland to our house. Also in these online stores you can get stuffs for Halloween decorations.
