Do you know the history of the timeless classic Christmas song 'Jingle Bells?' Well, the song was written by James Lord Pierpont (1822-1893) for Thanksgiving service and it was first sung in 1857 in a church in Savannah, Georgia. It was so much liked by everyone that again it was played during the Christmas time. Isn't it ironical that a song in which no mention of Christmas is made has become the universal Christmas song?
